What is it?
Smart reports, in-app surveys and pooled group budgets became generally available for Claude Enterprise on 28 October 2026. An admin picks a team, a date range and products, and the report shows what that team worked on with Claude, what it delivered and what it cost.
How does it work?
Claude reads a sample of the team's transcripts and sorts the work into workstreams, each with spend, deliverables and common friction points such as a missing connector or a failed tool call. The report ends with recommendations, like recurring workflows worth turning into skills. Surveys appear as a short card after a reply, and a pooled budget counts every request against both the group budget and the member's own limit.
Why does it matter?
TechCrunch frames the launch as Anthropic's answer to a top worry of large customers: what the AI bill actually buys. Pooled budgets also stop heavy users from hitting a personal cap early in the month while colleagues leave budget unused, with email alerts at 50%, 75%, 95% and 100%. Anthropic says smart reports are not meant for judging individual performance.
